In the music industry, the name REMBUNCTION! has continued to be synonymous with originality, creativity and talent. He is a contemporary calypso artiste who blends the sounds of traditional calypso with new groovy ‘soca’ beats. And there is no doubt that the REMBUNCTION! sound has proven to be as unforgettable as a tsunami and as revitalizing as a dip into ice cold river water.

The musical world started in his junior years winning musical competitions in both primary school and secondary school. In the early 90's he was able to record his first song ‘Mellow Melody’ as part of the quintet M.D.E. while performing with Robert Amar's, Kiskidee Karavan.

This was only the beginning. REMBUNCTION! continued to work behind the scenes to master his musical craft, but in the meantime, he also engaged his other creative talents. In the mid-90's REMBUNCTION! used his artistic energy to create one of his most well known ventures, the popular ‘Rem-in-a-box’ cartoons for the Trinidad Express Newspapers. This coupled with his commercial appearances and ad pitches, almost made it seem like he was shying away from his musical career.

But the talented artiste was using this time wisely to hone his talent and "master his craft" as he puts it.

This was also a time for him to further develop himself intellectually. Having completed an associate's degree in Graphic Design at John Donaldson Technical Institute, he thought it was important to understand the business aspect of music. He completed a Bachelor's in Visual Communication and Business Administration from North Carolina Central University. While there, he continued to blaze a trail and established himself as a television producer with his own college TV program called NCSeesU. This program opened the doors for him to work with established media houses in the U.S. such as MTV and CNBC.

His artistic journey has now brought him full circle. After returning to Trinidad in 2004 he returned to his musical base and released an album entitled ‘It Starts Now’ – a thirteen song set that features the popular tracks ‘Roti and Kuchela’ and ‘Black Queen’. In this album he celebrates the musical rhythms that influence the Trinbagonian culture such as the enticing chutney rhythms of the popular song 'Roti and Kuchela' and the pulsating drum beats that also pay tribute to one of Trinbago's long established oratory traditions, that of the Midnight Robber.

He began to carve a space for himself in the music industry with the release of continuous Christmas hits including ‘ Mr. Santa Claus’, ‘Samantha Claus’ and most recently ‘Macafouchette’. He continued to display his love for his country with steel-band tunes such as ‘Doh be On that’ played by Invaders. He collaborated with legendary calypsonian, the Mighty Sparrow on a re-make of his hit, ‘Ah digging Horrors’ in 2010. This was followed closely by the release of his album-the Return of the Calypso Man, which featured hits such as ‘Supernatural Session’, ‘Dance Calypso’ and ‘Sway.’

His latest release 'We Are’ marries his love for his country with his love for music. This song pays homage to the positive achievements that have come from Trinidad and Tobago as the country approaches the milestone 50 years as an independent nation. The video for the song features many national icons who have paved the way for Trinbagonians throughout the diaspora. This song inspires nostalgia and an irreplaceable a sense of national pride which leaves one asking, ‘what can we expect next from this talented musician?’
