John Tho

From a young age John Emmanuel always had a love for music. From the sight of seeing his older sister on stage with her rock bands, it gave him the chance to see how people expressed themselves through music in different ways. He loved it so much that he joined his primary school’s choir at the young age of six. His love for singing was put on hold when he turned the age of thirteen, when he decided to learn the acoustic/ electric guitar.

This proved to keep him occupied as he stopped singing to fully pursue it when asked to join his first “garage band” with Kenneth Richards now known as the artist K.Rich on the Soca front. It was cut short yet again when Philip Cartar the lead Guitarist suffered a severe injury that stopped the band from going any further. Immediately after the incident, the band disbanded and Kenneth Richards was picked up by his former band now known as “5 Miles to Midnight”.

Now left with his guitar John stayed close with his close friend Johnathon Agostini and the two began to jam music together until they finally put together their first band named Bangaseed. The band played many gigs together, broke up, reformed and played some-more with John as the vocalist the whole time.

John’s love still remained with the mainstream style of music, which is officially pop music. John, now known as “John Tho”, is breaking the mould and bringing his own twist and vibe to the local pop scene with a touch of his electric guitar, etc. His style cannot be traced - it’s versatile, unique and his voice is ready to be heard everywhere and he will continue until he’s reached the top.
