Alternative Quartet graced the stages of Trinidad and Tobago with their dynamic and extraordinary repertoire of music performed on their electric string instruments.

The Alternative Quartet is a string quartet with a difference. Our extraordinarily talented and award-winning musicians – all of whom have come up through the ranks of the National Youth Orchestra of Trinidad and Tobago and are leaders in their chosen instrumental fields – play effortlessly together in a dynamic electric ensemble that gives strength, depth and passion to the music that they love.
The traditional sound of the acoustic violin, viola and cello are brought to life with high impact and energetic qualities that are capable of infusing the smallest to the largest of venues – including outdoor performances – with rich, enigmatic and evocative melodies that add vibrancy and specialty to any event or show.

Born and raised in Trinidad & Tobago, Alternative Quartet has been delighting Caribbean audiences with their musical gifts and world class performances for more than 5 years. We provide the music for weddings, parties, corporate events, festivals & other performances bringing a creative twist to the traditional perception of a string quartet ensemble. Aspiring to reinvent the way that we feel about classical music, the Alternative Quartet provides a classically modern experience and hopes to reach a wider, global audience with its versatile repertoire, exceptional skill and thoroughly unique style.
