Keisha Welcome & Associates Intervention Services (KWAIS) Learning and Support Centre is a remedial school for children who learn differently.
The learning and support centre started in July 2009. This centre was initiated by the great need within the southern community for remedial intervention.
Many of the children in the south of the country are failing academically due to the educational system’s limitations and inconsistencies in its intervention to children who need extra educational help. It is with this in mind, our centre provides supplemental learning and literacy support to children with special learning /developmental needs.
We offer clients the opportunity for growth and development by building on their strengths and remediating their weaknesses. We are one of only a few providers in Trinidad and Tobago working with children diagnosed with various learning disabilities such as ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), Autism, Traumatic Brain Injury and Dyslexia.

The concept is commendable. However general behaviour and grammar goes out the door. The teachers need to first learn the English language and careful pronunciation before teaching. The school also needs an overhaul
