Guaico Secondary School is a government assisted secondary school. Guaico Secondary School was originally called Valencia North Government Secondary School Centre. It was previously located close to the heart of Valencia Junction, south of the Valencia Primary School on the old Catholic Church compound. While staff reported for duties in September 2000, occupation of our present location was achieved on November 06th of that year under the leadership of Mrs. Elma Joyeau-Campbell and twenty-eight (28) founding staff members.
The Principal is Ms. Sharron De La Rosa and the Vice-Principal is Mrs. Paula Worrell-James. There is a teaching staff of forty-four (44), clerical staff consists of nine (9) members including two(2) School Safety Officers and our library is manned by a staff of three (3). There are eight (8) Maintainance and Security staff at the school compound. At present, our student population is 416 students.
