National Archives of Trinidad and Tobago 6th Annual Archives Awareness Week: Monday 20th - Friday 24th November 2017


Discover the origins of the various people who make up our multiethnic and multicultural nation, and learn how you can trace your family roots. 


MONDAY 20TH NOVEMBER 2017

  • 9am - 4pm: Open Day For Schools & The General Public - Viewing of Thematic Exhibition, scheduled group tours (15 - 20 persons) of the National Archives, activities for schools and prizes.
  • 10am - 11am: Presentation - First Steps In Tracing Your Family Roots
  • 1pm - 2pm: Screening of BBC Film - "Who Do You Think You Are? - Noel Clarke"


TUESDAY 21ST NOVEMBER 2017

  • 9am - 4pm: Open Day For Schools & The General Public - Viewing of Thematic Exhibition, scheduled group tours (15 - 20 persons) of the National Archives, activities for schools and prizes.
  • 9am - noon: Workshop On Preserving Family Memorabilia at the Conference Room, National Archives

WEDNESDAY 22ND NOVEMBER 2017

  • 9am - 4pm: Open Day For Schools & The General Public - Viewing of Thematic Exhibition, scheduled group tours (15 - 20 persons) of the National Archives, activities for schools and prizes.
  • 10am - 11am: Presentation - Tracing Family History In Trinidad and Tobago
  • 1pm - 2pm: Screening of BBC Film - "Who Do You Think You Are? - Liz Bonnin"


THURSDAY 23RD NOVEMBER 2017

  • National Archives' Search Room closed to the public
  • 9am - 3pm: Workshop For Public Service Records Management Staff at the Old Fire Station, Abercromby Street, POS


FRIDAY 24TH NOVEMBER 2017

  • 9am - 4pm: Open Day For Schools & The General Public - Viewing of Thematic Exhibition, scheduled group tours (15 - 20 persons) of the National Archives, activities for schools and prizes.
  • 9am - 4pm: Tracing Your Family History: One-on-One consultations with genealogists and family historians.
