The Fondes Amandes Community Re-Forestation Project (FACRP) is a community based agro-forestry project that started in 1982 by a group of farmers living in the Fondes Amandes Watershed.

Community Eco-Tourism
Forest fires prevention
Tree planting
Community recycling/composting
Craft and cottage industry
Music and culture and community empowerment
Proud recipient of Trinidad and Tobago President's Humming Bird Gold Medal Award, 2007. The FACRP has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the Green Leaf Award, Trinidad and Tobago’s highest environmental honour, and the EMA Community Group Award. The FACRP was presented with another EMA Green Leaf Award, this time for Sustainability, at a gala event at the Hilton Trinidad and Conference Centre, Port of Spain, on Tuesday, June 5, 2012.
