BPTT Mayaro Resource Centre

The BPTT company’s sports club is now a facility for educational development and organised community events:

Swimming pool
Tennis courts
Conference hall
Snack bar and kitchen
Training rooms
Computer centre
Football and athletics field
Secure parking

This initiative provides accommodation and a key asset in building capacity within our host community of Mayaro.
Courses and programmes are conducted at the MRC by:

University of the West Indies (UWI) Distance Education Centre
The UWI School of Continuing Studies
The Trinidad and Tobago Hospitality and Tourism Institute
Objectives for use of the MRC are as follows:
To provide facilities for the community and bpTT staff;
To foster education, distance learning, business/trade and life skills training, and tertiary education;
To house the offices and activities of MIPED;
To provide a venue for cultural, sporting and leisure activities for the community and the staff of bpTT;
To foster engagement and interaction between the community and the staff of bpTT.

The centre will be operated to be self-sustainable, through a trust or an established non-profit institution
