On Monday, 21st of August, 2017, Trinidad will witness a partial solar eclipse. The UWI StarGazers, an astronomy club based at the UWI St. Augustine, will be hosting an event to mark this occasion.
The hosted event, which is free to attend and is open to the public, will be held on the UWI campus and will last the duration of the eclipse event (2:30pm to 5:00pm). Solar viewing telescopes and eclipse viewing glasses will be available on site.
