A ruling challenges the right to ownership to a portion of a highway reserve - the strengths of land acquired by the State for public purposes (Land Acquisition Ordinance 1941) versus claims of Possessory Title (Adverse Possession) by a squatter.
“A highway is both a public right to pass over a defined route and the physical land or other property over which the right is exercised.”
