The Language of Light 2017

The Language of Light is part of a series of Photographic Lighting workshops conducted by award-winning photographer Antony Scully over the last 6 years.

Antony is a professional photographer based in Trinidad, he shoots a wide range of work, but specialises in capturing people for advertising, corporate, editorial and fashion. He's noted for his skill with lighting, and he was recently awarded First Place in the Rangefinder "Seeing the Light" International Photography Contest - 2 Light category.

For the 2017 Launguage of Light, Scully has partnered with Art 6 Studio to offer a unique learning experience in an environment that spawns creativity.

This year's workshop would take place on Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th November 2017.
The official times are 9:30am to 5:30pm, but we may run a bit later on both days to get in some shooting after the sun goes down.


This workshop will cover:

  • Basic principles of light
  • Applications & measuring light
  • White Balance
  • Modifiers
  • Shooting with natural & constant light
  • Shooting with on-camera flash
  • Shooting with off-camera flash
  • Shooting with Studio strobes
  • Shooting with mixed light sources
Lighting techniques for day & night

You'll light and shoot people, places and things in many scenarios, giving you an array of skills to improve your photography.


Lunch & Refreshments would be provided on both days.

Camera
Flash
Lenses
Tripod (optional)
A working knowledge of your camera.
