The Embassy of the Republic of China in collaboration with MovieTowne hosts - The Chinese Film Festival. The festival runs from March 7th to 12th at MT POS Only. Mei Lanfang was a Peking Opera Master who created a distinctive genre of opera, featured by a mellow and beautiful voice of the performer and is an integration of the performing styles of Qing Yi, Hua Dan and Dao Ma Dan. He gained fame almost overnight when he made his debut at the age of 10 and went on in the late 1930s to improve and develop the art of the Peking Opera to a new level.
