The Arts of Traditional Mas Making: Wire Bending

Jouvay Ayiti, the reigning (small band) Jouvert mas champion, is pleased to announce its *mango season making workshops*, and invite your participation in these sessions. These workshops focus on ‘The Arts of Traditional Mas Making’. The series will comprise three, four-Saturday workshops. These are as follows: - Cardboard Sculpting - June 15th, 22nd, 29 & July 6th ($800.00); - Wire Bending - July 20th, 27, August 3rd & 10th ($800.00); and - Papier mache - September 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th ($800.00). As a four-Saturday session, each workshop will offer participants 16 contact hours (from 10am to 3pm) of each mas making discipline, and will be offered for a small fee of $800.00 per discipline, ie. per four-Saturday session.
