At a time where the elevation of the arts is crucial to the growth and expansion of our nation, one organisation has played an integral role in the lives of many artists in Trinidad and Tobago. The Arts Support Alliance, fondly known as “TASA” has been thriving as the bedrock of the arts and culture sector for twenty-one years. Its yearly all-inclusive, ‘Fete for the Arts’ celebrates 20 years at Queen’s Hall and will take place on Carnival Sunday 10th February, 2013 from 2pm – 8pm. Tickets are on sale at $550.00. Founded in November, 1991 by “a small group of dedicated people working to support and encourage a national phenomenon… the incredible diversity of art expression in our country,” TASA, a non-profit organisation, has awarded grants through its Arts Advisory Council for education, exhibitions and performances as they relate to the arts.
