Michael Curtis Ruiz Clinic and Performance Demonstraton

Michael Curtis Ruiz, accomplished bassist and son of leading trumpeter and bandleader Fortunia “Señor” Ruiz presents a clinic and performance/demonstration. Joining MC Ruiz on stage will be Chantal Esdelle, Theron Shaw, Tamba Gwindi and Ricardo Ruiz. The 45 min clinic session will focus on theory and practice that will aid the practicing musician. It will be followed by a full performance set. Ruiz brings his experience as a student of Frankie Francis, Earl Rodney, Fortunia Señor Ruiz, David Happy Williams, Barry Harris, Washtenaw Community College (Michigan), and Berklee College of Music (Boston), and as a professional electric and upright bass player (The Wailers, Rita Marley, Joe Higgs, Kylie Mynogue, London West End productions of Rent Remixed ad The Hurly Burly Show, The Roaring Lion).
