James Solomon: Photographs of Brechin Castle

Details

James B. Solomon is a Professional Photographer and Photo Educator who has interacted with and photographed over two million people and trained hundreds of international photographers, many with extremely successful careers in the profession. ‘Photography for some people is an 8 to 4 job, for others, photography is a sideline income or a hobby…For me, Photography is my life time professional commitment, my first best destiny, an all encompassing, 24/7, never-looked-back passion!’ James spent thirteen years working as a photographer with Carnival Cruise Lines photographing at times 80 – 200 couples over a 4 hour period depending on the type of assignment. He has printed well over ten million photographs in Carnival’s film and digital labs. He is the moderator and founder of T & T Photo Notes – a Facebook community of photographers aimed at sharing and uplifting the profession along with the “James Solomon Mentoring Series” conducted at various locations including COSTAATT’s Campuses in the North and at The Trincity Learning Centre. James will share photographs documenting the sugar factory at Brechin Castle in Couva. The site is being developed as The Sugar Heritage Village, a project born out of a need to preserve the memories of the sugar industry in Trinidad & Tobago. Members and their guests are encouraged to bring along a few of their own heritage themed images to share with the group on a USB memory stick.
