IFRS 9 Workshop

The Central Finance Facility in collaboration with the PSCU Credit Union invites Credit Union personnel who are desirous of acquiring the knowledge and skills to competently apply IFRS 9, to a one day workshop on the 27th February, 2018 at the Hyatt Regency, Trinidad.

Workshop Overview

International Finance Reporting Standards (IFRS) has become a global accounting language. IFRS 9 is an International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) promulgated by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB).

It contains three main topics:

• Classification and measurement of financial instruments;
• Impairment of financial assets and
• Hedge accounting

The correct adoption of IRFS 9 promises Credit Unions many benefits including greater consistency, comparability and transparency of financial reporting resulting in enhanced member confidence.
