Shawn Peters, Nerine Peters and Sherlann Peters have combined their artistic talents in a unique endeavour entitled “Home is where the Art is”.
The idea behind this show is using art to illuminate the plight of those living in broken old houses, which are so often the subject matter of local artists, and hopefully create a conversation. The artists contend that the idea of the “quaint old house” risks romanticising poverty. The exhibition aims to use art to give back to the community as a percentage of the proceeds will be given to the respective homeowners toward maintaining the structures that inspire so many creators.
Exhibition opens on Tuesday 24th October 2017 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm.
Exhibition continues until Saturday 4th November 2017.
