Well-known comedian, media presenter and motivational speaker, Errol Fabien has launched the Fathers’ Day Walk-a-Son, the inaugural walking race open only to fathers and sons. Carded for June 15 (Fathers’ Day), the fun event will start at the Eddie Hart Grounds in Tacarigua, proceed west along the Eastern Main Road and end at the Gayelle office in Curepe. Open specifically to fathers, step-fathers and grand-fathers and their sons, the walking race will focus on males, with a view to raising awareness about their specific challenges and legitimate needs. Added attractions on Walk-a-Son race day include prizes for the youngest father-son pair, the most grey-haired pair to cross the finish line and other similar fun categories. This event as a fun, family oriented affair, emphasizing fit and healthy lifestyles, all towards building a spirit of community within our country. With the welcome support from corporate Trinidad and Tobago, there are plans to develop the Walk-a-Son into a successful annual event on the local and regional calendars. Proceeds from the walking race will go towards establishing a special hotline for the Single Fathers’ Association of Trinidad and Tobago (SFATT). The Fathers’ Day Walk-a-Son takes place on June 15, starting at 7.00 am at the Eddie Hart Grounds in Tacarigua.
