[Description] Fundraising Concert featuring Gyazette and Freetown collective! Come start off the new year with a message, a fight, and a cry for change. 8:00pm START TIME $100 tickets (purchase at door!) This concert is a fundraiser for 2013: Year of Displacement. We are all displaced, misplaced, re-placed people. From all over the rest of the world. Having left, having come back, thinking about leaving, thinking about moving back, dreaming of moving within our own small island, or wanting to visit the long time homeland (wherever that may be, or however many different places it may be). Here in POS there are so many displaced. Most noticeable on street corners and at stop lights, but also in crevices, and in houses that are in danger of being pulled down every day. Our 2013 season is dedicated to helping displaced youth find a place for themselves through workshops, classes, and outreach programmes, and to raising our own awareness about the internal and external displacement that makes us who we are and is both our greatest strength and greatest weakness.
