MOTHER'S DAY MARKET: Bring Mom to this market. Register for the special giveaways! Shop for produce, craft and gifts. You’ll be serenaded by the haunting flutes of Yuyaric Kayna, the musical group from Ecuador, performing two sets at 8 am and 9 am. These enterprising musicians will also have artifacts and craft from South America on sale. At 10 am, local artisan Susan Thomas will demonstrate how she makes decorative paper from natural fibres (leaves and organic material) and recycled paper. She will also have finished articles for sale: elegant earrings, note paper, boxes and stationery, ready to gift to the mothers. The Green Market is in the heart of the Santa Cruz valley. From Maraval, or from San Juan, you can’t miss it on the Saddle Road. The Green Market is open every Saturday from 6 am to 2 pm. Safe off the street parking for cars, buses or maxi-taxis.
