The Canboulay Riots were riots by the descendants of freed slaves on our twin island, against attempts made by the British police to crack down on aspects of the Carnival celebration in the 1880’s. This year’s re-enactment is happening at Piccadilly Greens, POS and takes place on Friday 24th February at 4:00am!
