PNM Celebrates 50th Independence Anniversary

The People’s National Movement will mark the 50th Independence Anniversary of Trinidad and Tobago with a grand celebration at Balisier House on Thursday August 30th 2012 under the patronage of the Political Leader, Dr. the Hon Keith Rowley. The celebrations start with a procession from St Vincent Street opposite the Red House at 8:00 p.m. and ends at Balisier House, where there will be a Cultural Programme beginning at 9:30 p.m. that features calypso, Steelband, chutney, folk music and dance. The highlig ht of the evening’s celebrations will be the re-enactment of the events of 1962 with the lowering of the British Flag and the hoisting of our National Flag.
