About the show:

verb
1. Notice or perceive (something) and register it as being significant.

Everything which exists has an important role and affects someone or something in one way or another. The process to recognize such factors requires open mindedness and the will to understand. Observations represent a series of work created from repetitive spectating and gathering of information. It involves artwork focused on societal issues and battles with self while enlightening the importance that such factors must be of more focus and consideration. The inspiration for this exhibition is based on the recognition of negative factors which can vastly harm one’s well-being both physically and mentally.
Societal issues are often overlooked or ignored and this creates chaos for those who fall victim to the horrendous actions which are now normalized. Upon further realization of the external issues which exist came the internal factors as well. Mental health is perceived to be of lesser importance as well as the potential issues that follow. Battling with such became an overbearing task and as a means to cope and bring further awareness this exhibition was developed.

The artist:
Avianne is a Trinidadian based artist who predominantly works with acrylics and watercolors. Her work reflects scenery and societal issues which vastly affects people in different diasporas. She considers painting to be a great means of self-expression, which allows her to out pour thoughts, feelings and all creative ideas onto a medium of choice. Avianne focuses greatly on the impact her work has on people and believes it's upon her duty to send positively influential messages through her work.
