In commemoration of October as Calypso History Month, Caribbean Griot Music presents In Defence of Calypso V: Family Matters at Kaiso Blues Café on Sunday 27th October at 7:00 p.m. In keeping with the Family Matters theme the over thirty calypsos being covered will address such topics as courting, marriage, childcare, infidelity and community. Presenting these calypso gems will be vocalist Krisson Joseph supported by Theron Shaw (guitar), Tony Paul (flute and sax), Von Best (percussion), and Dougie Reddon.(bass) IDC V also features vocalists Maya Guerra, Nickaela James and Mya Scott.
Early Bird tickets are available at $100 either through www.buzz.tt or directly from the organisers.
