Singer Scientist Danielle Williams, has been delighting audiences locally and abroad with her warm, sparkling voice, penchant for storytelling and vivid characterisations, both in staged productions and at special events.
Rising to the challenge of her first trouser role - Prince Orlofsky in the opera Die Fledermaus - Simone Lee of the Trinidad Guardian commented, “A superb laconic performance by soprano Danielle Williams.” She was also featured as Cosette in The BpTT Marionettes Chorale’s production of Les Misérables.
Danielle Williams completed her Artist Diploma in Music Performance at the Academy for the Performing Arts (The University of Trinidad and Tobago) in 2015 under the tutelage of Dr. Vertrelle Mickens. Then, she studied and performed extensively in Sweden with the Opera Studio at the Härnösands Fölkhögskola in Härnösand with Karin Bengtsdotter Olsson, Anna Hanning & Dr. Jean-Ronald LaFond.
Danielle is a Multiple Music Festival Champion and the winner of the 2016 Neil Latchman Bursary from The Patrons of Queens Hall. She is committed to advancing the fields of vocal science and pedagogy in the region & allowing the classical music world to explore Caribbean culture through our music.
A graduate of The University of the West Indies, Danielle, completed her B.Sc. Biochemistry and Nutritional Sciences. She has served her country locally in the fields of Public Health, Wellness, Nutrition & Marketing.
