CineLit 2018: The Latin American & Caribbean Literary Film Fest - NALIS

Details

A festival within a festival – because the best films are from books!

The NGC Bocas Lit Fest, in partnership with UWI and the embassies of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, México, Panamá, Peru, Venezuela and Spain, hosts the third Latin American and Caribbean Literary Film Festival, CineLit, celebrating the remarkably rich heritage of both literature and film from Spain and the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking Americas, and groundbreaking work by Anglophone filmmakers.

Running from Monday 16 to Sunday 29 April 2018, this programme of dozens of feature-length and short films includes adaptations of beloved literary classics from across Latin America and the Caribbean. Amongst them are award-winning films, and most of them are making their T&T debut.

This year we have added a full programme of animated films for children.

Films will be shown in the AV Room of the National Library, and in three locations on the UWI St. Augustine Campus: the Centre for Language Learning auditorium, the UWI St. Augustine: Film Programme unit on Carmody Street, and the AV Room of The Alma Jordan Library at the UWI St. Augustine
