Art Exhibition by Karen Hale-Jackson and Susan Hale

“I am sure I was born with a paint brush in my hand and I spent all of my free time as a child drawing and painting. Living in Trinidad an artist’s paradise and makes it very easy for me to do what I do as I paint what I see and feel. I am only at the tip of the iceberg (or coconut trees) creatively as there are so many things that I still want to capture on canvas – scenes, people, old buildings, flora and fauna i.e. anything that captures my eye. I especially enjoy doing work by commission, as I then know that the piece I am working on means something special to someone.”

Karen Hale-Jackson is a self-taught artist with no formal training and is now fulfilling her lifelong dream of being a full time artist. Karen has been showing her work in group shows since 2000 and has also had many successful joint exhibitions. She is now venturing out and having her first solo exhibition at Horizon’s Art Gallery on the 25th October. This show will also feature a few select pieces from her sister, Susan Hale.

Karen’s exhibition opens on Tuesday 25th October 2016 from 7:00pm until 8:30pm at Horizons Art Gallery located at 37, Mucurapo Road, St. James. The exhibition will continue until November 5th during 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays. For further information please call the gallery at 628-9769.
